Officer Garrett Hull was shot and killed while attempting to arrest three serial robbers. He and his undercover team had been tracking the suspects when they robbed a bar, and during the pursuit the offenders opened fire, fatally wounding him.
During his 17 years with the Fort Worth Police Department, Officer Hull served in specialized tactical units including the Special Response Team, Narcotics Division, and Tactical Intelligence Division.
A devoted husband, father, son, brother, and avid sportsman, he is remembered for his courage and dedication. In December 2018, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation paid off the Hull family’s mortgage as part of its Season of Hope program.
